Sometimes you get a present just right. The baby stroller/crib/doll set was a good move for Lydia. Especially combined with the high-heel dress-up shoes from her Grandma. Lydia feels quite proud of being so “grown up” as she carefully pushes her baby through the apt with those fancy shoes on. :)
We got Jacob 2 sets of wooden blocks by “treehaus” that look like parts of castles. We got a much better deal, but here is a link that shows what they look like: http://www.amazon.com/Treehaus-16403590042-Wood-Castle-Blocks/dp/B005GQUWH4. They’re fantastic!
For Jonah, we found a very nice Brio train set that has tracks for cars and trains. He’s already spent many, many hours playing with it!
And for Emma, we got her a grown-up girl gift (that unfortunately needs some supervision so she hasn’t been able to use it yet) – her very own kid sewing machine! We saw them at Costco and decided she’d have a great time making bags and doll blankets and eventually doll clothes. And, I was surprised to find a sewing machine for myself under the tree too! (I had told Joe I was finally ready to start learning at least how to mend and hem clothes!) So Emma and I will be learning together! Here’s a picture, though again we got a much better deal on it: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B005U0OBF0/ref=pd_lpo_k2_dp_sr_2?pf_rd_p=486539851&pf_rd_s=lpo-top-stripe-1&pf_rd_t=201&pf_rd_i=B0062QMFOK&pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_r=1ZN69C2GWWWVF5BPE31C.
They of course got many more wonderful presents! I just wanted to take the time to share about one for each. Hope you had a fun day too!
